The Estate
Property of "SCEA Auguste Bonhomme" for 6 generations, this beautiful estate of 12 hectares is located in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellations, on Gorges commune, at the East of the Sèvre Nantaise river. The property is divided into two patches which produce very complementary wines thanks to their soil components, the age of the wine plant and above all due to the very good exposure.
Pouilly Fume
Today the Pouilly Fumé vineyard stretches over more than 800 hectares (i.e. 1,976 acres), on the confines of the Cher and the Loire rivers. The vineyard benefits from a very good exposure and produces one of the greatest appellations of white wine in France. It is different from its neighbour, the white Sancerre, with an even more pronounced fruit. A clay and chalky soil; a perfect exposure, enable this wine issued from the Sauvignon grape variety to be present on the greatest tables all over the world. This very beautiful selection is issued from wine grapes harvested in a small village called ‘Le Bouchot’, on patches planted on the wayside of the famous "National 7". It is different from the other Pouilly Fumé thanks to its delicacy and its stylishness. A very perfumed nose, a very pronounced fruit aroma and a supple mouth make it a very high expression wine.
