Quick Overview

Deep red in color with a very elegant nose. Red fruits stand out blended with sweet, smoky, and spicy notes. Big-bodied on the palate, with plenty of firm, ripe tannins for a well-balanced wine with tremendous complexity and character and a pleasing, persistent finish.

The Estate

In 1998, Emiliana’s organic project became a reality, converting their vineyards to herbicide-free environments – see vineyard pest control in action above! In 2006 their vineyards were certified biodynamic, a system which follows and allows nature’s own processes at its own rhythm, without the intervention of external elements. The varietals are young, clearly identified with their original variety and loyal to the characteristics of the grape. From the moment of production they are ready to be consumed.

Climate

Mediterranean, sub-humid, partly influenced by the anticyclone of the Pacific Ocean, marking the rain seasonality (430 mm per year) mainly in winter. It presents temperature range of 16°C.

Soil

Their textures ranges from loamy to loamy-clayey and muddy, medium depth, moderate content of organic matter and good drainage.
