Details
The Estate
Our own-blend wines from Chile.
A first cousin of Gallinago Gallinago, the North European Snipe, Puna Snipe, Gallinago Andina, lives in boggy wetlands of the foothills of the Andes in Chile. A rather timid fellow with short, bright yellow legs, he is keen to spread his wings and travel the world - Ireland being his first port of call.
Climate
Mediterranean with rainy winters, warm, dry summers and a broad oscillation between day and night temperatures, all of which contribute to a good vine development.
Soils
Good drainage, high fertility, and tremendous agricultural aptitude. The soils tend to be alluvial in origin of medium depth.
