The Chateau
Formerly part of the estate of Bourgneuf, the first trace of Château Grange‐Neuve began at the end of the 19th century by a grandfather of the owners. The vineyard has been enlerged step by step. Today, there are 7 hectares situated on the west side of Pomerol. The soil is made with silica in surface and iron in depth (it is called ʺcrasse de ferʺ) which is very particular of the terroir of Pomerol. Merlot is the main grape, almost 100% of the vines. The whole vineyard has been entirely re‐planted after the great frost in 1956.
