Quick Overview

This generous wine get its personnality from its limestone on clay terroir (fresh and mineral) and from a lot of sunlight (ripe fruits). It has a charming red colour with purple reflections. Its nose reveals flavours of red and black fruits (blackberry, balackcurrant and raspberry), light liquorice and spices. The mouth is very fruity, juicy, with a good mineral power. The finale is expressive. A traditionnal Lussac, round and generous. Beautiful to drink in its young age !

The Estate

Formerly belonging to the Cistercian Abbey of Faize, this beautiful vineyard surrounds a picturesque windmill built in 1711, at one of the highest point in the appellation. By building Abbeys, the monks have developed the Bordeaux vineyards during the middle age. Each Abbey had their own wine: for ceremony needs and everyday consumption. Thus, according to Saint-Benoit “It’s better to take a little of wine by need than a lot of water with eagerness”. It is with that spirit of generosity that the Roskam-Brunot family manages this charming estate of 4,5 ha. They carry on a family tradition that started in the 19th century. Today, Nicole Roskam-Brunot and her sons are leading Château Moulin de Grenet. Their objective is to improve the quality of the wine every year, and to keep a generous wine and the style from Lussac St Emilion wines.
