The Domaine
One of the rising stars of the famous appellation, the Domaine is run by Bernard Mollard and his wife, Marie-Jo, daughter of the eponymous Marc. This estate has quietly established a reputation as a fine source of elegant, expertly made Chassagne. Yields are well below 40 hecalitres a hectare and all harvesting is by hand. Some new oak is used for ageing adding to the complexity. These wines with their fat silky texture, show spice flavours and great length.
